Here's an idea for a game to practice your skills and see if you can outdo your fellow forum users.

You have to design a cd cover using a band name and album title suggested by the previous user. Then when you post your cover you suggest the next name and title.

I'll start it off with the first title.

Artist Zombie Death Monkeys
Title Zombie Death Monkeys

Have fun. Very Happy

I know the text makes it a little heavy on one side but I tried a couple of variations and this one just looked best to me. I was listening to Stiltskin when I did this so I imagined the band having that kind of sound to them and did a cover I thought would fit with that.

Anyway, onto the next one:

Artist The Fire Ants
Title It all comes down to this

EDIT:

Argh! Just realised a put strike not stroke.
I will have to fix that and re-upload it.

"Artist: The Fallen Ones
Title: Of broken dreams and shattered hearts"

Sounds familiar. Are you talking about my life?

I was expecting a busty blonde in white boots leaning over a sports car, but this is great and I like how you've included all the previous artists.
How did you make the image? - it's very effective

I'm glad you like it.
The image was pretty simple.
The devil I drew by hand because I'm hopeless at drawing on the pc.
Basically I created a blank image added a layer containing the devil drawing. I filled the background in black and then using the magic wand tool cut it, deleted the layer containing the sketch of the devil and then pasted the black background.
I added a photo of some old tatty posters as a layer underneath that one and then a shot of a candle flame on top of that which I think was set to about 30-40% opacity. I moved the layers around till I was happy with how it looked and then merged all the layers so I just had the reverse sillouette. I copied the merged layer and then took the brightness all the way down so I had a plain back background.
Then I pasted the copy over the top and dropped the oppacity to 30% to create the shadow. Then I pasted another copy of the layer and using the magic wand tool removed the black area so I just had the devil in the top layer and shifted it along a bit so it was only partially covering the one below.
Then I just had to play about with the text.
Very Happy
