I'm having a go on ifreelance:-
http://www.ifreelance.com

anyone any experience of it or any comments or warnings I should be thinking about?

Projects come up which you can bid on. I thought it worth a try for some more off the wall projects

Nope, not heard of that one. Have tried freelancers.net which has loads of projects but have applied for many and received hardly any reply. Probably due to the sheer number of applicants and their willingness to work for next to nothing. Will check this one out.....

I find all of these freelance sites to be a collossal waste of time - you're competing against people who will whore themselves for $30 for a logo and full stationery.

Not my bag at all! Smile

Very Happy LOL I totally agree Eagle, in saying that i have tried a couple of these sites. I never won a job because i never lowered my rates. I asked for my full going rate, in doing so no one ever answered me. Other users were happy to get 25$ for a logo design Shocked . Usually full of agencies or freelancers based in the middle east who are prepared to go the lowest rate to win the job.

The sites are a waste of time unless you are prepared to work for very low income or maybe retired.

Ifreelance is not as bad as the others as it does have a more professional approach. Providers are encouraged to make a higher payout for a better job, and they increase the SEO for your website but it still works out as a low income as its still in US $ rather the the GREAT British pound . Very Happy
